BASIC INFORMATION



Name: Noctis Lucis Caelum

Canon: Final Fantasy XV

Age: Physically 30, mentally probably closer to early twenties

Bio: The once prince of Lucis (now king) is a man bound to his duty and destiny; that the Chosen King should put an end to the darkness that covers all of Eos, bringing light back to the land once more. The title is both a burden and an honor. Conflicting notions that, with time, Noctis has learned to shoulder with acceptance and even a small amount of grace.

He is slightly aloof, sometimes a little awkward, but always sincere. He can be serious, wry, but also caring. Most importantly, he wants to do good, and he wants to live up to the expectations set for him. He's tired but willing. Sensitive but motivated. Stubborn but understanding.

SYMBIOTE INFORMATION



IOTA - CRYSTAL BARRIER

STAGE ONE: Noctis can psychically project a barrier that appears to resemble a crystalline, forward facing shield roughly five feet wide by five feet tall. This psychic barrier will absorb roughly the damage equivalent of a speeding car's impact, or approximately thirty seconds of a barrage of bullets before it dissolves, and when struck it will emanate with a loud, clear ringing sound. It will also dissolve naturally regardless of whether or not it has received any damage after a minute. Noctis must project the wall within ten feet of himself. The barrier is capable of supporting weight. Once the barrier collapses, Noctis will immediately experience severe headaches and brief mental exhaustion. Noctis can use this ability two times per day, however the second will incapacitate Noctis for up to an hour once the barrier disintegrates. Each time Noctis projects his barrier, the less damage it can absorb; the second time he projects his barrier within a 24-hour period, it can absorb only half its usual damage.

STAGE TWO: Noctis can psychically project a large crystalline wall. The wall is seven feet tall and seven feet in length, and can be curved to protect the flanks of a single being. The psychic wall absorbs damage equal to a speeding truck’s impact, or a a minute of a barrage of bullets. The wall lasts either until it's absorbed its maximum damage, or it's been standing for two minutes. Noctis may project the wall up to thirty feet from himself. Once the barrier collapses, Noctis experiences severe headaches and considerable mental exhaustion. The more complicated the structure or the farther away its projected informs how severe the exhaustion that follows is. Noctis may use this ability three times per day, however the third use will incapacitate him for up to two hours. Each time Noctis projects his barrier, the less damage it can absorb; the second time he projects his barrier within a 24-hour period, it can absorb only 50% its usual damage. The third time he projects his barrier, it can absorb only 25% of its usual damage.

STAGE THREE: Noctis can psychically project a crystalline structure that completely surrounds a 10x10 area. He may either create a complete dome barrier or a cylindrical structure. The psychic barrier is capable of absorbing the equivalent of a grenade’s damage, a bus-strike, or two minutes of bullets, although it still only lasts two minutes total regardless of damage. Noctis may adjust the shape of the barrier after he's projected it and he may project it anywhere within his line of sight. Once the shield barrier disintegrates, Noctis will suffer severe headaches and mental exhaustion relative to the complexity and distance of the projected barrier. Noctis may project the shield up to three times per day with gradually increasing psychic backlash. Each time Noctis projects his barrier, the less damage it can absorb; the second time he projects his barrier within a 24-hour period, it can absorb only 75% its usual damage. The third time he projects his barrier, it can absorb only 50% of its usual damage.

BROOD PERMISSIONS
Though a bit withdrawn on the outside when it comes to meeting new people, Noctis will be read like an open book where broodmates are concerned. He's a sensitive soul, easily able to eke concern just as much as irritation; this much can be easily picked up by anyone in his brood, at any time.

Recently, he's been defined by his sense of duty and a lingering determination that remains in his mental connection, no matter what. Broodmates may be able to pick up a sense of tired sadness, as well, and imagery of nighttime and the dark will be prevalent to any who peer closer. There's loss prevalent within him, just as there's hope. But deep within all that Seriousness is someone who probably is more reminiscent to a man barely out of his teens instead of 30. A little sheltered but willing to take pleasures in the small things in life, because what else is there to be had when ripped from Eos, and living on a station in space?

Broodmates also get to feel occasionally sleepy when looking into his brain. Have fun with that.

NEST PERMISSIONS
Hosts outside of his brood will still be able to pick up on Noctis' emotions fairly easy, even if he does make an attempt to be a little standoffish at first. They'll get a sense of someone who's used to conducting himself in a certain way around strangers, and is purposefully remaining aloof so he can sort out what he thinks of you/the situation at hand.

There's a sense of him always searching for a connection he's lost. A group of friends, or a family, perhaps. Those who make an attempt to barge in and peer deeper will be met with retraction almost immediately, but this doesn't mean they won't be able to garner basic tidbids about his personality anyway, or the fact that he's a member of royalty back in world of Eos.

MENTAL LINK
Deep darkness and a ray of blinding light. Shattered crystal, blue flickering magic, the feeling of sleeping in a temporary eternity. The color black, the seat of a throne. Friendship and camaraderie, family and duty. Swords and lances and axes and bows and guns. Campfires blazing in the night. The weight of an inherited war, the acceptance of sacrifice. Hope, in everything.
